If you want to be a part of this pioneering event and make history at the first Northern Fashion Week, get in touch or find out more here

Today, Northern Fashion Week can announce that it has teamed up with the University of Sunderland, joining the event as an official education partner. Naomi Austin, Senior Lecturer in Fashion Design and Promotion at the University of Sunderland said, “The University of Sunderland is thrilled to be involved in Northern Fashion Week. As one of only a handful of universities based in the far North East of England it can be expensive and logistically difficult to participate in design events, mainly held in London. Being a part of NFW means that our students on the BA(Hons) Fashion Design and Promotion will get the opportunity to showcase their amazing work to a wider audience as well as becoming far more visible to employers in an area where many jobs exist in our industry. There is a wealth of talent in the North, which the creative industries need to have better access to. NFW is enabling this to happen, providing far more opportunities for networking between staff and students from other universities. I always thought there was a real need for this sort of event, so everyone at Sunderland is very excited that NFW is finally happening! See you all in July 2022!”

FashionFoundation joins Northern Fashion Week

FashionFoundation has been announced today as social enterprise partner for NFW 2022. A joint initiative between CBGC Creative Industries and New Talent Fashion, FashionFoundation is a social enterprise based at Fargo Creative Village looking to nurture, develop, promote and retain talent in the historic and inventive city of Coventry. At NFW, FashionFoundation will be highlighting Coventry and showcasing the emerging talent and innovation coming from the city, as well as hosting its own NFW breakout event.
